Educational Needs

Angram Bank Primary School is committed to providing a high quality inclusive environment for all our learners.  In order for this to continue the school's Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Policy is being updated to fulfil the requirements of the new Code of Practice (Children and Families Bill part 3) which became effective on 1st September 2014.  Please follow the link to the local authority local offer pages or alternatively download the SEND Sheffield Leaflet for more information.

Many thanks to those who braved the weather to come and share their views on the proposed new policy, your attendance was much appreciated!  The meeting was attended by school staff, including those from the Hearing Impaired Resource, the school's headteacher and the SEND governor in addition to parents/carers.  Views of interested parties who were unable to attend the meeting but provided information were also taken into account.

The purpose of the meeting was to outline changes to the Code of Practice and to explain how school intends to respond to these changes.  Copies of the Policy were available and feedback sheets provided to enable school to respond to any questions or queries.  School feels that the changes are positive, and welcomes increased involvement of families that the revised Code of Practice brings with it.
